We’re experts in process engineering services. We take a holistic approach to managing assets through their lifecycle, from acquisition to disposal. We can help with the planning, design, manufacture and installation of plant to increase capacity and keep our customers’ manufacturing facilities running efficiently.
We can also support customers with new installations, relocation, refurbishments and upgrades in addition to the reconnection and recommissioning of existing equipment. We also regularly install third part equipment for leading OEMs.
We have a dedicated team specialising in the relocation and installation of equipment, from large one-off items to full production lines. We do this safely with minimum disruption to manufacturing and ensure the relocated line is risk assessed, conforms to current standards and continues to run efficiently and reliably.
Our three UK fabrication workshops can upgrade or refurbish existing equipment in addition to the fabrication of straightforward stainless-steel vessels to full turn-key solutions.
Our services:
Feasibility studies and 3D modelling are essential components of process engineering. They enable our engineers to improve project efficiency and reduce costs.
Feasibility Studies
Our feasibility studies will help optimise your path from initial conception through to production. They are fully tailored and range from a simple assessment to a complex CAPEX study to determine if a project is technically and financially viable. The key steps are:
- Design
- Production schedule
- Process flow
- Consideration of any environmental issues and compliance requirements
- Capital expenditure
- Estimated operating costs.
Process Design
Our process plant design service is a cost-effective design solution. We start with a customer’s draft specification and end with a fully detailed process and instrumentation diagram, 3D modelling, and specifications which would incorporating all elements of the process from vessel and pipe work sizing, to CIP solutions, Design Risk assessments, Utilisation Modelling and more.
We fabricate bespoke, high-quality process vessels at our three UK fabrication workshops. Vessels can be constructed in various shapes and sizes, vertical / horizontal cylindrical / square / rectangular.
We can design and manufacture vessels to conform to a range of standards, including hygienic processes, safe cooking & mixing vessels, specialised reactors, fermentation and propagation vessels, computerised verification (PV Elite) and conforming with BS5500, ASME V111 and EN–13445 standards.
Our teams use FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) to identify and evaluate potential failures in our customers’ systems and the potential effects. By proactively identifying potential risks and failures, we can create plans to mitigate or eliminate each potential failure, helping to prevent costly downtime.
Our team of experts specialises in fabrication, installation, and relocation services for industrial process vessels and plants. We can assist with designing, manufacturing, and installing large process vessels while supporting you with the design, manufacture and installation of machinery and pipework at your process plant. Our team’s experience and technical knowledge allow us to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality results.
We’re dedicated to UK manufacturing and our three sites in Manchester, Swadlincote and Birmingham provide over 64,000 square feet of production space together with a welding capability.
We provide a comprehensive construction service utilising a range of skills and competencies.
Processing Plant
We specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke processing plants. Our work ranges from expanding or modernising existing production sites to the new construction of an entire plant.
Our team can plan, manage and supervise construction and installation and we can also handle procurement and expediting through to the delivery and commissioning of your equipment.
We also ensure your equipment runs with minimal downtime through a reliable service and asset maintenance plan.
Site Installations
We provide a complete range of mechanical and electrical process engineering installation services.
We understand that our customers’ need to keep production running under strict hygiene standards during installation and we work to strict standards.
A managed team of skilled installation engineers, supervisors, project managers, site managers, and project engineers deliver multi-discipline, technical projects.
Pipework Installations
Our team conduct major process pipework installations on behalf of customers in the manufacturing, process and utilities markets.
Packaging Integration
Our integration engineers can seamlessly integrate new or optimise existing systems.
We design and install production and packaging lines ensuring that the resulting line matches production requirements and budget.
Refurb and Upgrade
In addition to our end-to-end design and build service, we can also manage a range of refurb and upgrade projects. We work closely with customers to plan projects, ensuring that the end result optimises their processes and minimises machine downtime.
We have carried out many decommissioning projects and can operate as the principal contractor. Our team will project manage the task under Construction, Design and Management Regulations (CDM), whilst physically removing redundant process equipment safely for use elsewhere.
Effective test and commissioning require a combination of technical expertise, project management skills and attention to detail, as well as a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards. Our teams work with customers to ensure that newly installed or upgraded systems are fully functional, safe, and meet regulatory requirements.
With a broad base of experience in different industries and processes, our software team supports customers with solutions ranging from small stand-alone applications to complete factory automation and reporting systems.
Our engineers can provide specification and implementation of PLCs, Human Machine Interface (HMI), Recipe Handling, Data Acquisition, Reporting and Plant Visualisation systems.
We can also use software simulation to assist with off-site testing and training, reducing the timescale of commissioning and providing a more efficient transition to production.
We support our customers with large complex networked SCADA and PLC solutions or simple modifications to existing legacy SCADA or PLC systems.
Our range of services include:
- PLC / HMI Software Development for all main vendors
- SCADA Software Development from all main vendors
- Obsolete SCADA and PLC Systems
We have an experienced team of full-time mechanical and electrical tradespeople capable of panel design and building and installation works including:
- Mechanical Fitters
- Sheet Metal Workers
- Pipe Fitters
- Riggers
- Appointed Persons
- Welders
- Electricians
