Our services:

Asset Maintenance Strategy - Planned / Reactive Works

Across the group, our engineers operate advanced asset maintenance strategies for business-critical operating environments in a range of sectors. We ensure machinery and plants run efficiently, extend life expectancy, reduce the risk of costly plant system failure, and reduce unnecessary energy consumption.

We work closely with our customers to agree on the most appropriate maintenance approaches for the assets in question – delivering anything from reactive breakdown fixes, to planned preventive maintenance, or condition-based and predictive strategies. This means our customers always get the maintenance approach that’s right for their business.

We have extensive experience in asset condition analysis, asset performance monitoring, asset analytics, applying IoT solutions, and utilising asset lifecycle strategies.

Decarbonisation / Energy Solutions

Identify – Site Audit

We gather, collate, and analyse data from across the organisation to rapidly identify opportunities for decarbonisation.

Deliver – Sustainable Change

We jointly identify the key projects through a structured review of carbon reduction and return on investment

Our UK engineering teams support then deliver the decarbonisation opportunities.

Measure – Carbon Accounting

This includes reduction in your Scope 1 (direct) emissions associated with natural gas consumption, and a reduction in site electricity consumption.

We support the tracking and reduction of your Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.

Installation, Maintenance and Repair

We deliver an electrical installation, maintenance and repair service to customers.  We agree on the most appropriate maintenance regime from simple breakdown-fix to PPM or condition-based and predictive strategies and advise on opportunities to increase resilience and reduce costs.

We can manage projects from estimate and initial concepts to final testing and commissioning.

Our skilled team are committed to delivering the highest quality service, and there is no compromise on the quality of any installation.

Our tailored service includes:

Providing outstanding customer service is at the heart of our culture and our senior leadership team have been pioneering great service in the facilities industry for many years.

Our people focus on building a deep understanding of their customer’s business, their needs, and the specific requirements in each of their facilities.

We operate dedicated and scalable customer management teams built to deliver a unique, customised service to meet each customer’s specific needs. Each customer has a dedicated Key Account Manager and each of our teams is supported by our 24/7/365 helpdesk.

Our customers benefit from live and transparent 360-degree performance reporting and supporting analytics. Underpinned by our CAFM and business systems this enhances their ability to:

  • Identify and mitigate asset failure and business disruption risks
  • Optimise facilities costs without increasing asset risks
  • Plan appropriate maintenance strategies and asset lifecycle/replacement programmes
  • Ensure facilities operations are efficient, effective and safe
  • Demonstrate documented compliance
Building Information Modeling

We use Building Information Modeling to connect teams, workflows and data across the entire building lifecycle.

Our service integrates multi-disciplinary data to create digital representations for real-time collaboration, allowing our customers the visibility and transparency to make better decisions, save costs and offer more sustainable options.

Highly Qualified Facilities Engineers

Our engineers are amongst the most qualified in the UK with extensive experience and qualifications working in complex and regulated environments.

We invest heavily in learning and development and have a commitment to developing talent from within.

Through our EJ Academy, we ensure that the skills of our engineers are regularly updated.  We also have a commitment to supporting those starting out, or changing their careers, and over 16% of our workforce are apprentices. The majority of these are engineers, but they also include roles in business and specialist technical apprenticeships.

The investment in our engineering talent results in higher productivity and quality that ultimately lowers costs and minimises mistakes. It also produces people with a passion for improvement and a love for cracking the most challenging engineering problems.

In-House Delivery

Our operating model focuses on using our in-house, multi-skilled engineers to deliver the majority of our operations.

This not only eliminates extra costs but also avoids the significant additional time and costs required to schedule, manage and coordinate third-party suppliers. It also helps to reduce the operating risks inherent in having multiple parties on site.

Nationwide Mobile Teams

Our site-based engineers are supported nationwide by multi-skilled mobile engineers. We operate a 24/7/365 help desk which ensures a rapid emergency response

When required, we aim to have additional resource on-site which ensures a rapid emergency response.

Challenging Operating Environments

Across the EJ Group, our site-based engineers work in Nuclear, Defence, Utilities, Food and Beverage Manufacturing, and Pharmaceutical, Chemical and Industrial facilities.

We understand the distinct operating challenges and protocols that these specialised environments and their critical assets demand. But we also know that every facility is different and that each of our customers have their own specific needs and requirements.

Our teams understand and appreciate the need to adapt to the specific protocols in each facility whilst, at the same time, developing new ideas and approaches based on wider experience.

We understand gateway processes and many of our people are security cleared. And we bring with us a specialist supply chain that also understands the demands of critical environments.

Progressive, Compliant and Responsible Partnerships

With many of our customers, we operate within structured strategic supply-chain environments which focus on:

  • Strategic objectives and plans
  • Collaborative working
  • Joint development initiatives
  • Open-book relationships
  • Pain/gain models

We are members of The Institute for Collaborative Working and we are working towards best practice ISO 44001.
