Parker Technical Services was appointed to deliver the mechanical services for a Clynelish-based Distillery’s new Visitor Centre.

History

The new visitor centre, located on the North Coast 500 tourism route in Scotland, is an interactive, multi-sensory experience celebrating the whisky’s unique story, as well as stories of the local people, landscape and culture.

The redevelopment is part of Parker’s client’s wider investment into transforming the Scotch whisky tourism experience.

Solution

Parker Technical Services was chosen to deliver the mechanical services for the new Distillery Visitor Centre, including:

• Drainage
• Water Services
• Sanitaryware
• Underfloor Heating
• Heat Recovery Ventilation Systems
• Automatic Controls System

The main challenge of the project was to recover heat from the air being extracted from the various areas. The main air handling unit we installed was fitted with a heat recovery recuperator to recover heat from the extracted air and use it to pre-heat the incoming supply air.

Results

The project was a success, finishing on time and on budget.
