Parker Technical Services were appointed to deliver the mechanical & electrical installation on a new build Primary School.

History

The new primary school was built to replace the existing school which had reached the end of its lifecycle.

The design brief of the new build primary school was to provide a strong foundation for the children with skills for life and a joy for learning in a warm and caring environment.

Solution

As part of their role, Parker undertook numerous works within the primary school, including the installation of new LED lighting throughout. As part of this install, Parker also added an energy-saving lighting control system to reduce the light levels when required. The system was set up to use absence detection as a further energy-saving method for the school.

The scene-setting was installed in the teaching areas to give the user full control over the brightness of the lighting within each area and power outlets were installed throughout the school using dado trunking in some areas and standard socket-outlets elsewhere.

Parker was also responsible for the supply, install and commission of an LTHW system, underfloor heating, insulation, domestic water services, above ground drainage, air conditioning, gas and BMS automatic controls to support the new building.
