Parker Technical Services was appointed by the client to provide M&E services as part of the third major upgrade to the hotel serving the oldest golf course in the world.
History
Having successfully completed a multi-phased refurbishment in 2017 and 2018 on the same hotel, Parker was appointed to deliver a third major upgrade.
Solution
The three-phase project saw the refurbishment of 152 bedrooms, together with extensive upgrade works in Phase 1 and the construction of a new leisure facility complete with 25-metre swimming pool in Phase 2, which also included an upgrade of the existing spa.
The third phase currently under construction will see the Hall of Champions and 62 bedrooms upgraded as well as a new office and back off house area to be completed in advance of the 150th Open Championship which will take place in July 2022.
On all three phases Parker was appointed to deliver the complete mechanical, electrical and plumbing services
