HMI screen results in £380,000 saving
Musk Process Services was appointed to develop a new HMI screen to enable fault finding and to reduce downtime hours for a clients existing systems
Limitations to the Musk client’s existing systems made it difficult to restart the plant after a wash sequence. This caused 175 hours downtime in the last year. Musk was asked to develop a new HMI screen to assist with fault finding.
Musk’s on-site engineers developed a new HMI screen to assist with fault finding. This new system provides information on valve positions making fault finding easy.
The HMI screen has dramatically reduced downtime for the client and resulted in a saving of 175 hours and £380,000 per annum across six lines for the client.
The client has given awards to the Musk engineers involved in the upgrade to acknowledge and thank them for their role in the cost and time-saving.
