Solution
As part of the works, Parker installed all lighting and controls throughout both the primary school and the Early Childhood Centre areas of the building. As the school was to house both Primary and Nursery aged children, the building was also fitted with state-of-the-art lighting through the school areas, main hallways, classrooms and nursery areas which includes a unique baby sensory room complete with a mood light ceiling display along with the necessary LTHW Pipework and emitters.
Parker also undertook the fitting of a BMS system to control all mechanical plant for the building. Ventilation equipment was installed throughout, along with specialist A/C equipment for the comms room. A gas-fired boiler was fitted to heat the entire building.
Parker was responsible for the distribution of all hot and cold water services from a central mains calorifier as well as the installation of a specialist UFH in the breakout area.
Disabled alarms and fire alarms were installed, along with secured entry, door access and CCTV in order to meet the necessary security criteria associated with a school.
Result
The school roof was fitted with 148 Solar PV panels with a 39kW output to generate cost savings on the energy their electricity costs in future.
