Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor/Team Leader with experience of working within industrial environments to join our team in East London. You will not be sat behind a desk all day as the role requires you to give hands on support to the mechanical maintenance engineers within your team.

Key Responsibilities

The role will require you to effectively plan, prioritise, manage the work for and supervise a small team of Mechanical maintenance fitters.

You will be required to organise materials, manage hire of equipment, identify labour requirements to the Operations Manager, and compile risk assessments and method statements as required.

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 6.45am – 3.15pm)


Skills and Experience

Due to the role requiring you to give hands-on support to your team you must have strong mechanical maintenance experience of working with industrial equipment such as belt and screw conveyors, grab cranes, motor gearboxes, bearings etc.

An understanding of Engineering Reliability (Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) and Condition Based monitoring (CBM) is advantageous although not essential.

Experience of CMMS systems such as SAP would be an advantage.

You must hold mechanical qualification (ie. City & Guilds / BTEC / NVQ Level 3).
