Musk Process Services is part of the Edwin James Group, a leading independently owned property and infrastructure support services company delivering integrated building and facilities management services.

 

We are now looking to recruit a Utilities Engineer to join our site-based team in Manchester. Reporting to the Engineering Site Manager the Utilities Engineer will be responsible to provide reactive support as well as planned maintenance activities. You will carry out maintenance on the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), inclusive of the RO Plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out WWTP routine operations and
  • Carry out mechanical fault finding and repair of all systems and aspects associated with the plant operation.
  • Ensure a comprehensive record of all daily activity is recorded in a formal logging system. This will include permeate levels, conductivity
  • Co-ordinating all WWTP area Statutory Plant Insurance Inspections in accordance with Kellogg Factory Insurance
  • Log and report simple operational data as required for the plant.
  • Co-ordinate ordering of WWTP/RO chemicals and schedule of
  • Ensure all standby machinery is run up and checked once a
  • Be responsive in assisting utilities engineers that are on-call in the evenings and on
  • Ensure that all emergency safety devices are routinely checked and tested in accordance with site
  • Escalate any plant operational issues to the Site Engineering Manager.
  • Carry out continual site monitoring to manage site environmental
  • Respond to crisis management through extended cover, call-ins and remote
  • To actively and analytically fault

Skills and Experiences
  • NVQ Level 3
  • Commitment to safe working
  • Experience with RO Plants and Waste Water Treatment P
  • Ability to read engineering diagrams and mechanical
  • Experience with digital maintenance planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with personnel at all
  • Excellent time management with the added need for flexibility as and when required to meet business
