A new job opportunity has arisen for a Solar PV Project Manager based in Glasgow

This is a rewarding career opportunity with the successful person being responsible for the smooth running and completion of designated works to the required time scales, budget and high levels of quality whilst harbouring a strong Health and Safety culture.




Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the overall management of projects from initial acceptance to handover and ensuring excellence in customer service and project delivery
  • Responsible for all technical submissions for approval prior to procurement
  • Making sure cost effective selections are made during the procurement process
  • Ensure that all employees/subcontractors sign up to and follow the risk assessments and method statements and adhere to the relevant Health & Safety regulations
  • Manage the day to day operations of all projects and managing labour to meet site demands
  • Develop and maintain close business relationships by attending site meetings with the subcontractors and clients
  • Responsible for the control, monitoring and management of the project with regards to profit, loss, accounts, invoicing and debt control

Skills & Experience

We value everyone’s skills and experiences but for this role are looking for people who:

  • Qualified to a recognised level in Electrical Engineering or Project Management
  • A good knowledge of Solar PV Installations (qualifications preferred but not essential)
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects and managing the site element of Solar PV installations within the construction services environment
  • Proven track record of successful site management
  • SMSTS qualification (not essential, but desirable)
