Currently we have a new job opportunity for a Project Engineer to work within a hugely growing part of our business – Solar PV this role is to help develop, control, review and manager projects of various sizes, values and complexity and ensuring the delivery of the projects on time, in budget without compromising quality, we believe this role will suit an electrically qualified individual with formal qualifications who is looking to either develop their career from an ‘on the tools’ role to a more managerial position. With an end goal of being a fully skilled and experienced Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

To assist the Project Manager in the overall management of projects from initial acceptance to handover and ensuring excellence in customer service and project delivery
Assist with the technical submissions for approval prior to procurement
Making sure cost effective selections are made during the procurement process
Ensure that all employees/subcontractors sign up to and follow the risk assessments and method statements and adhere to the relevant Health & Safety regulations
Assist in the day to day operations of all projects and managing labour to meet site demands
Develop and maintain close business relationships by attending site meetings with the subcontractors and clients
Responsible for the control, monitoring and management of the project with regards to profit, loss, accounts, invoicing and debt control

Skills & Experience

We value everyone’s skills and experiences but for this role are looking for people who:

Qualified to a recognised level in Electrical Engineering i.e. City & Guilds/ NVQ in Electrical Installations/Maintenance
The willingness to learn about all aspects of project management within the solar PV industry
Proven track record of working to a high level in the electrical industry as an electrician etc
Strong communication both verbally and written
IT Literate
