We are currently have a new career opportunity for a new Quality Inspector – Welded Fabrications to join our team after recently opening a new office in Whitehaven, Cumbria and working onsite at Sellafield this is due to with this winning of a new long term contract in the area alongside our work in Barrow in Furness. This 18 year award, along with further opportunities, is estimated to be worth in excess of £20mil per annum to the business, forms part of the prestigious PPP framework and sees Parker’s cement their position as one of the regions premier engineering services contractors.
As part of their commitment to the region, Parkers have opened a new regional office located at Whitehaven, providing a permanent location for the business to grow, complimenting their existing regional office in Warrington
- Provide quality control services across a range of building services disciplines
- Inspect works are completed to spec and the appropriate correct standards
- Inspect Welded Fabrications / Manufactured equipment for the power generation industry
- Review of fabrication / manufacturing documentation within authority levels in terms of quality plans, ITP’s fabrication/manufacturing procedures, welding procedures, NDE procedures, compilation and review of LTQR’s
- Review of Site installation of HVAC systems and associated plant Items
- Be aware of the evolving UK requirements for inspection within the industry and learn nuclear and conventional codes relating to HVAC systems
- Manage a range of stakeholders with clear and concise communication demonstrating excellent customer facing skills

- Have previous experience working as a Quality Inspector ideally within a building service sub – contractor
- CSWIP qualifications or PCN equivalent
- Have demonstrable experience of inspecting welded fabrications
- Sound understanding of materials, welding and NDE techniques
- Have experience of managing a variety of stakeholders internally/externally and has successfully influenced and negotiated in technical discussions relating to inspection
