A new job opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to play a leading role in the delivery of an 18-year HVAC package as part of the PPP framework at Sellafield. With a significant pipeline of work, estimated to exceed £20mil+ per annum,
As Project Manager (HVAC) you have responsibility for the procurement and delivery of HVAC projects, coordinating with the client, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
As a new and exciting opportunity within our business this is a highly visible key role and offers various opportunities for projects managers who are driven by excellence.
- Project management, planning, engineering, and cost control
- Labour, material, and sub-contract resource management
- Production of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) and other QHSE documentation Identifying, assessing, negotiating with and managing suppliers and sub-contractors
- Selection and procurement of equipment.
- Planning, forecasting and reporting contract performance.
- Undertake general commercial activities (preparation of applications for payment, compilation of variations, etc.)
- Production of Technical Submission
- Production of RFI’s
- Production of Early Warnings
- Implementation of Compensation Events
- Liaison with the QA Team
- Liaison with the Commissioning team
- Liaison with Main Contractor and other trades
- Management of the production of RIBA 5 Working drawings and RIBA 6 Handover documentation
- Resolving and closing out of Snags and Defects

We value everyone’s skills and experiences but for this role are looking for people who:
- Have a proven track record as a mechanical lead of working within the MEP industry, demonstrating a history of delivering Mechanical packages on large projects
- Are ideally be qualified to HNC level, although qualifications by experience will be considered on an equal basis
- Ideally you will have previously worked under the NEC suite of contracts
- Have experience working within a nuclear or highly regulated environment (desirable)
- Hold both an SMSTS and CSCS Card
