Currently we have a new career opportunity for a Process Engineer to join our team in Swadlincote, this person will be part of a skilled and experienced team who have the responsibility for design and commissioning on breweries, distilleries and CIP solutions and provide a quality lead approach to planning and handover and ongoing support

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop process engineering solutions for projects from quotations through to commissioning
  • Value engineer process designs to maintain competitiveness
  • Estimation of process hours for project progress reporting
  • Liaise with the Customer to create an overall process design from initial concepts
  • Development of detailed process design flow diagrams and P&ID’s and completion of PIDb information
  • Generation of Functional Design Specifications (FDS)
  • Create the specification and complete the analysis of specialist process and utilities equipment packages including valves, pumps, heat exchangers etc
  • Produce hygienic process engineering designs
  • Development of Standard calculations and carry out detailed process design calculations
  • Carry out Design Risk Assessments of detailed designs
  • Assist with the preparation and facilitation of HAZOP studies
  • Conduct site surveys of existing equipment requiring upgrading and integrating with new equipment
  • Ensure project work conforms to ISO 9001:2015 and Project lifecyle procedures
  • Carry out FATS and CAT
  • Provide technical support to projects on sites
  • Carry out training of installed system for Customer engineers and operators
  • Completion of DQ, IQ, OQ & PQ documentation
  • Ensure all the correct Musk Standards, Industry needs and statutory requirements are met
  • To actively ensure adherence to, and seek improvements in, the procedures and systems utilised within Process Services for total Project life-cycle execution both within their own team and in the interactions with the Projects Delivery
Skills & Experience

We value everyone’s skills and experiences but for this role are looking for people who

  • Have a proven track record of working as a Process Engineer within a engineering business / consultancy
  • Have expertise in breweries, distilleries and CIP solutions (fluid handling systems)
  • Experience in hygienic process design and mechanical services
  • Experience of working within a gated design process
  • Familiarity with a Systems-based approach to Engineering
Specific Qualifications
  • It is expected that you will have engineering qualifications to either degree level or HNC at least within Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Process engineering
  • Full UK Driving License
