Currently we have a new opportunity for a Pipefitter / Welder based across sites in Stirchley.

Key Responsibilities
  • Timely and accurate assembling, and installing of steel work, pipe work, pumps, valve pipeline ancillaries
  • Repairing malfunctions
  • Testing pipe systems to ensure safety and functionality
  • Performs inspections of plumbing systems to identify and replace worn parts
  • Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes
  • Follow engineering drawings and instructions for each job
  • Check dimensions and thicknesses of materials to be welded
  • Prepare and set out sections to be joined or repaired
  • Calibrate tools and machinery
  • Operate welding equipment
  • Inspect and test welds and joins, using precision measuring instruments

Skills & Experience

We value everyone’s skills and experiences but for this role are looking for people who:

  • Have an NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Pipe Fitting & Assembly and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Welding
  • Desirably have Commercial Gas Safe, but this is not essential
  • Able to use, repair and maintain machines and tools
  • Have design skills and knowledge
  • Is able to modify length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed
  • Is able to perform inspections of plumbing systems to identify and replace worn parts
  • Professional manner
  • Very accurate attention to detail
  • Willing to learn and adapt skillset
  • Proven workplace experience
