Senior Operations Manager

This is not a definitive list of responsibilities but more of a reflective example of what is expected.

• Plan and prioritise the workload and organising required materials
• Hiring of equipment
• Identifying labour requirements (current and future planning)
• Compiling risk assessments and method statements as required
• Monitor and report on contractual performance
• Identification of continuous improvement opportunities
• FRACAS recording
• Day to day management of personnel including timesheet, recruiting, discipline and performance reviews
• Local job costing where required and compiling quotes for additional work outside of the contract parameters
• Attending site management meetings with senior stakeholders

We value everyone’s skills and experiences but for this role are looking for people who:

• A track record of leading an engineering team to a high level within the FMCG industry
• Strong communication skills dealing with internal and external stakeholders
• Have come through an apprenticeship within either mechanical or electrical discipline you must possess engineering qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds or BTEC).
• Hands on experience of electrical/mechanical maintenance within process machinery
• Ideally have an understanding of engineering reliability
• Ideally have experience with CMMS systems
• Strong IT Skills
