Currently we have a new opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Engineer based at our site in Stowmarket and working on sites across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide reactive support as well as planned maintenance activities
  • Installation, fault finding, and repairs to production machinery
  • Fitting mechanical & electrical parts
  • Adhere to all Statutory Standards and Regulations
  • Work on mechanical equipment
  • Keeping records up to date of any maintenance history
  • Successfully read Engineering diagrams and drawings
  • Scheduling maintenance tasks
  • Periodic checks to mechanical equipment so that they work at optimum efficiency
  • Reporting to the Site Supervisor
  • Organising quotes for required parts/service
  • Liaising with service providers/contractors visiting site
  • Analyses problems and identifies appropriate tools and materials for repair

Skills & Experience

We value everyone’s skills and experiences but for this role are looking for people who have:

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Uses own initiative
  • Organised
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels including clients
  • Knowledge of PLC systems
  • Some mechanical qualifications would be an advantage
  • DSEAR/ATEX certification would be an advantage
  • Certification in C&G 2394/95 Inspection & Testing would be an advantage
  • It is essential you possess an Electrical Qualification (i.e. NVQ or BTEC)
  • City & Guilds 17th  / 18th Edition is also essential
