Currently we have a new job opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer based across sites in Stirchley.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete a variety of new mechanical designs for pipework, vessels, platforms and supports
  • Predict risks and problems relating to site conditions or design limitations and liaise with in house project teams resolve those issues
  • Handling the design process from the point of initial enquiry, through to the draft and scoping phases, through to receipt of client’s order and subsequent detailed designs
  • You will be required to develop and maintain long term relationships with the customer based on trust, predictability, accountability, and mutual respect

Skills & Experience

We value everyone’s skills and experiences but for this role are looking for people who have:

  • Be familiar with safe working practices
  • Have a Degree in a mechanical engineering or equivalent gained from experience
  • Be able to provide evidence of achieving customer satisfaction
  • Be able to demonstrate an advanced ability in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook as well as electronic project management tools
  • Have an understanding of process systems
  • You must have historical knowledge/experience of Auto-CAD 2d and 3d in particular with piping
  • A good understanding of current European and British standards is also highly desirable
  • Professional manner
  • Very accurate attention to detail
  • Willing to learn and adapt skillset
